tar.gz extract

Hello all, I am trying to extract a tar.gz file in kloxo. But it doesnt seem to do anything.

How to extract it?

you could log in to your server thru winSCP (download it) and unrar it there

or unrar it through SSH (google the command)

in ssh type

tar -xvzf filename.tar.gz

tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

You have to be in the directory with the file, you are not therefore it cannot be found.

Well , you have to go in that directory first... it can be like , always files are in home folder so go in ssh and then

cd /home

then move to folder in kloxo there is admin

then cd admin

and then there domain name will come like

cd foldername

then do tar -xvf filename.tar.gz

it will work perfectly , it not then come to yahoo i will tell u how to do , or i can do
