Guest section or not?

Do you think it's necessary to have a guest section?

One that is reserved exclusively for staff or uploaders to post?

Or do you think having a single place for all the downloads is better?
Then again, if you believe so, how do you submit downloads from your staff/uploaders if everyone is posting and you have to search all over for clean downloads?

Guest section closed to General members posting,because, back in the day, phishers would post their links in reply to thread,closed section keeps katz submits safe.

I don't like to see users browsing in guest section around 1000+ and all other section are dry with 4-10 users. I agree that having a guest section ease the work of webmasters who submit to DDL but if you put a little bit effort and submit post from normal sections after looking at the content of post will give you a lot of users in each section and forum looks professional.
Anyway it is my personal opinion.
And for uploader point of view guest section is great because they get better chance of being their post submitted on DDL

guest section mean you force to user for register. so that you just increase your user list..

I submit from all sections. (Mostly from our 'WarezSFX Uploads' section though.)
Just make sure you check the content of the posts. (;

that doesn't make it look more or less professional if you have a big site. Just my 2 cents.

SO basically you all prefer to have a guest section.
But then, won't the member section be a little dry?
DO you bother checking the member section then?

I am currently using a guest section but I am planning to merge all together. Just want to have all of your opinions

I have a guest section which i submit to ddls,
Its open for all to post in but must follow strict katz rules,
Its only usually the Uploaders that post in there but the odd member does every now & then.
And no, The members section dont go dry as everyone else posts in there to either get there posts counts up, earn some propz or just to share

I think this way works best for me & i wont be changing,
I only have to check the guest section before i submit & i know there all in one place & rules have been followed. (Although every now & again i have had to move a few posts to normal section)
