A New Forum That's Doing Things Differently

You can feel free to send me a PM when you've got the forum up. if you are focusing on a community, I will be happy. You seem like a nice guy. I like communities. I like to talk, discuss with other people. I'm not into warez anymore, so I will not upload copyrighted material.

The idea that torrenttrackers are the best thing for all of this is preposterous. While torrenting is a very nice way of sharing content, it's absolutely ridiculous if you want something that hasn't come out recently, or isn't popular. It can also just be incredibly slow for a lot of the previously mentioned scenarios.

Anyways, if you want to discuss any of that stuff do it elsewhere. Your attitude is that warez forums in general are crap. I'm not interested. Discuss your opinions elsewhere please.

Yeah, right. I never said that all warez forums suck, there are good ones. But they're not that popular on the "scene" because they don't allow these new file hosts, neither they allow to some kids to share something that they don't even watch. I know, people want to make money. But there's no need to write so much pathetic text about community 'n' stuff. When it's more than obvious that forum you're making won't be a community, you wouldn't be creating a thread here if you had enough people for a community. That's just a fact..

Loved this topic. It's April's Fool's day and the only real topic created today with content worth reading so thanks to Maverick and Jason for that.


Maverick is reminding me of another webmaster here called Beigin. Guy talks well and motivates people into making something ordinary sound great but unfortunately that's how I see it; ordinary.

Working on a large DDL site I see new forums start every few hours. Their are very few original ideas. Link checkers are poor and unreliable and it's impossible to make them reliable which I know from coding many over the years as you are relying on external sites outside your control.

I'd love this to work for you Maverick but Jason is right. Start with a small vps not a server. Don't get custom mods made instantly and don't think for a minute your going to keep out the autoposters. It's pretty much impossible. I've coded mods like linkzbot that help preventing duplicate posts and know a lot about this. Jayfella (autoposter creator) once said that anything that CoolYou (warez-bb admin) does to stop autoposters on Warez-BB that he would bypass and I believe him. If autoposters want to spam your site they will and if you do get decent traffic they will come.
As for content their is no original content. It's a myth. If you want something that's released you'll find it in a few minutes on Google. Your not going to create a website where you have content that people want that others don't have. If you do they'll just leech it so it will no longer be unique.

I do wish most of what I said wasn't true but unfortunately it is and that's the sad state of warez today but I do wish you the best of luck and hope you succeed in your goals.

Ya that's what I said in my essay. Having stuff nobody want's is a niche and possible but that's not general warez.

he only stated that your future warezforum is similar to all other warezforums and that there is nothing special about it.
